I’ve been thinking of buying a Thoth tarot deck to add to my collection so I’ve been looking online and found a few different versions published by 2 companies — AGMuller (Switzerland) and U.S. Games — which I found rather confusing trying to decide which of the many versions I preferred.

Runes, cards & life’s possibilities…

Occasionally I consult my various oracles, tarot decks and runes just to see what insights they might reveal. I’m often blown away by their amazing accuracy and synchronicity — somehow Spirit causes precisely the right ones to be chosen, continually reinforcing the idea that it’s not all just chance or coincidence. Last night was no [...]

In my previous blog I briefly referred to the idea of “being different” and whether or not it was considered acceptable to be so. That reminded me of a video which I discovered recently — the link was posted on one of the autism forums/e-groups I’m a member of. The film clip is from a [...]

My blog is one year old today! Thank you to everyone who reads it and gives me the encouragement to continue writing my inane ramblings.
My new djembe …a bit of a hairy goat

I bought another drum today …a djembe. I’ve wanted one for a long time but have never gotten around to doing anything about it, until today. I’ve spent some time over the last couple of days researching djembes online and finding out about some of the technicalities …body structure, drumheads, fibreglass vs. wood, synthetic heads [...]

SOL’s Drum Making Weekend Workshop (advertised here in an earlier blog post) was held last weekend (17th-19th July) at Camp Coutts – a scout camp at Waterfall, in southern Sydney, NSW. Never having made a drum before it was a totally new experience for me, and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Time for more of my drawings. The first is one of a series of my earlier sketches which depict the end of the world as we know it, inspired at the time by personal dramas going on at home while my mother was in the process of becoming a Jehovah’s Witness. No-one else [...]
I’m a star! …Siriusly!

While chatting on the phone earlier I suddenly remembered that a few years ago (July 2005 actually) I found a free star naming service on Astrology.com and named a star after myself, LOL. I called my obscure little star “Doggie”, which was the nickname I had as a kid, given to me because I liked [...]
Rather sad actually…

I find it rather ironic that what is so far the only offensive comment I have ever received about this blog has been written by a “good Christian”. Ok, so they didn’t want me to link to their website. That’s fair enough, and perhaps I should have asked first …my mistake for not doing so. [...]
