I’ve used this little fella on the Spheres Of Light website and on my Aussie Wytch’s Book of Correspondences blog but I realised I’ve never actually added him to my collection of artworks here at The Other Side. So, here he is…

A lot of my fantasy drawings came from my “mind’s eye” but the lion cub was copied from a photograph on the cover of a writing pad I had years ago. There was just something about it that I liked, so I drew it …no tracing, just drawing “by eye” then adding the details as closely to what was in the photo as possible. I haven’t done anything like this for ages, but I was thinking tonight that maybe I should attempt a drawing of my dog Shelby as I’ve got some good photos I could copy from. It’s just a matter of finding the time to practice and get it right.
